DNA nucleobase interaction driven electronic and optical fingerprints in gallium selenide monolayer for DNA sequencing devices

The interaction of DNA nucleobases with monolayer GaSe has been studied in DFT framework using vdW functional. We found that are physisorbed on the monolayer. order binding energy per atom is C > T G A. room temperature recovery time estimated to be maximum 113.88 µs for + indicting reusability based devices. modulation electronic structures clearly captured within simulated STM measurements. also demonstrate quantum capacitance as a key parameter sensing applications. Furthermore, optical properties, electron loss (EEL) spectra show red shift photon nucleobase adsorption UV region. 0.92 eV E⊥c and 0.50 E||c. In nutshell, exhibit anisotropic response UV-region which can highly beneficial developing polarized sensors. Our results utilized fabricate reusable sequencing devices biotechnology medical science.
